With September here, PlayStation Plus subscribers can now go to the free games for the month at the PlayStation Store. Among the game titles that members can look forward to including “Lords of the Fallen” and “Journey” for the PS4.
The September Freebies
There are more to look forward to with free game titles offered for other consoles. Subscribers can also get hold of “Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands” and “Datura” for the PS3 while PS Vita games available will include “Badland” and “Amnesia: Memories”.
Like before, some titles can be played across the different game platforms. “Journey” is also available thanks to cross-buy support for the PS3 while “Badland” will be technically available for all with PS3 and PS4 versions, Game Spot reported.
In summary, PlayStation Plus members can look forward to three free game titles for the PS4 while PS3 subscribers get wider options with four game titles this month. The new game titles replace the PlayStation Plus free game for August.
As mentioned in a previous post, the list included titles such as “Rebel Galaxy” and “Tricky Towers” for the PS4, “Retro/Grade” and “Yakuza 5” for the PS3 and “Patapon 3” and “Ultratron” were available for the PSP/ PS Vita. “Ultratron” was the game previously that could be played on all game consoles.
Avail before September 22
PlayStation Plus members are encouraged to take advantage of the freebies before the price hikes take effect on Sept. 22. In another previous post, it was reported that Sony would be increasing membership fees by $10 for US gamers and $20 for Canadian subscribers. The price hikes were announced via the PlayStation blog.
While the price increase for PlayStation Plus subscribers may not be amenable to all, folks who decide not to stay on after Sept. 22 are encouraged to turn off the auto-renewal feature on their accounts. It will be the first major tweak by Sony after six years of service.
