Grand Theft Auto: Vice City 10th Anniversary Edition is launching for iOS via the App Store and Android through Google Play on Dec. 6 for $4.99 on both platforms. The new edition will bring the full Vice City experience to mobile devices.
According to Rockstar, the 10th Anniversary Edition comes "with native high-resolution graphics and several enhancements unique to the iOS and Android platforms including updated character models and lighting effects, new and more precise firing and targeting options, a fully customizable control layout and native support for Retina display devices."
Vice City originally released in 2002 for the PlayStation 2 and tells the story of Mafia hitman Tommy Vercetti, who was recently released from prison after serving fifteen years for killing eleven men.
Tommy is relocated from Liberty City will by his boss Sonny and sent to Vice City under the guardianship of Mafia lawyer Ken Rosenberg. In Vice City, Tommy act as the Mafia's buyer for a series of cocaine deals.
The game takes many cues from films and television specifically "Scarface," "Carlito's Way," and the TV series "Miami Vice." The game also sported many upgrades over GTA III including more vehicles like motorcycles.
