'PAX West 2016' Latest News & Updates: New Updates Announced For Rock Band VR, Wolfenstein 3D, Halo 5: Guardian Anvil's Legacy & More

This year's mega event "PAX West 2016" was once again sold out as expected as it drew tens of thousands of video game enthusiasts. Of course, new games were previewed, fans came in cosplay costume, and everything that would please any gamer were showcased in the said event.

Among those previewed was Wolfenstein 3D, which was generously previewed by the developer with a huge playable portion of the game. Polygon reports that this upcoming first-person shooter starts out inside a crashed spaceship and eventually ventures out into an open alien world in the second level.

A darker interior space is also showed which apparently forms the third of the four planned levels in the revival of this classic shooting game. Tons of weapon customization options, melee attacks, gore-filled action, and a god mode was also shown on that big event. Harmonix also brought a pre-alpha build of its "Rock Band VR" to the event wherein a player would wear the Oculus Rift headset while holding one of the game's guitars. The game was announced way back in December and was debuted in The Game Awards in Los Angeles, reports Polygon.

There was also 12 minutes of direct-feed gameplay from "Forza Horizon 3", which of course is a treat for all car boys. The game will be playable on Xbox One and Windows PC and features tons of cars including the Lambhorgini Centenario, different racing terrain, and a lot more. Amongst the most sought after games that were previewed on the event was that of "Halo 5: Guardians" which has a new update called "Anvil's Legacy." Eleven minutes of the game were previewed and featured new maps and weapons, which includes the Hunter Cannon.

In the video, the new Warzone Assault map Temple can be seen with new weapons such as Gunfighter Magnun and Tactical Magnum REQs. It is also loaded with a lot of new customization options for a player's pleasure which they can experience when it launches next week.

This new update "Anvil's Legacy" will be available for download this September 8 alongside another feature called Halo 5: Forge. "Forge" will let players create and share new levels on the game and will be available in both Windows PC and Xbox One.
