True blue fans of "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" would be excited to know that another "Parks and Recreation" alum is setting foot on the FOX show once it returns this September. Following the footsteps of Nick Offerman, who appeared last season as Captain Raymond Holt's (Andre Braugher) brooding ex-boyfriend, is the ever-lovable Jim O'Heir, who is known to "Parks" fans as "Jerry"/"Terry"/"Larry."
"Brooklyn Nine-Nine" season 4 will see the arrival of O'Heir in the second episode, wherein he is to play a police officer who runs into the undercover Detective Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg), who's stuck in Florida with Captain Holt under a witness protection program. According to Entertainment Weekly, O'Heir isn't the only new face to arrive at the show, as Ken Marino is also temporarily taking the reins as captain of the 99th precinct.
There's quite a lot to look forward to in "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" season 4, as we also reported on the exciting crossover episode that the show is doing with "New Girl." While the crossover won't happen until the October 11th episode of the show, there are a few more guest stars to look forward to when the show returns. Deadline reports that "Saturday Night Live"'s Maya Rudolph is also appearing as U.S. Marshall Karen Haas, who will serve as Peralta and Holt's connection to their true identities back in New York.
It's definitely no surprise that Rudolph and O'Heir would appear on "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" season 4, as the two have close ties to the production. Rudolph and Samberg both hail from "Saturday Night Live," while O'Heir's "Parks and Recreation" roots link him to the show's co-creator, Michael Schur, making it a small, tight-knit comedic family of sorts.
