Far Cry 3 Release Date 7 Days Away: Ubisoft Releases A New Trailer (Watch Here)

The latest trailer from Ubisoft's Far Cry 3 introduces the game's four-person squad from its cooperative campaign mode.

The four player-controllable characters are Callum "the Scottish Thug," Leanard "the Crooked Cop," Mikhail "the Russian Hitman," and Tisha "the Ex Soldier." The plot takes place six months before Jason Vandenberghe's search for his girlfriend and centers around the aforementioned foursome being scammed out of money by pirates. The four then pursue the pirates to the island in search of revenge.

Here is the description of the Cooperative multiplayer game mode from Ubisoft:

"Quadruple the insanity in the whole new co-op campaign in Far Cry 3. With local and online split-screen on consoles, up to four players can reign havoc in paradise, all in the name of revenge. Watch the new trailer now featuring the Scottish thug, Callum."

The game cooperative mode has six distinct co-op campaign chapters and also unique challenges where gamers can compete with teammates for "top scores & bragging rights."

Far Cry 3 is an open world first-person shooter video game by Ubisoft Montreal for Microsoft Windows, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Far Cry 3 will release in North America on Dec. 4, and in Europe on Nov. 29 with a U.K. releasing on the following day.

Gamers who pre-order at GameStop will receive the Monkey Business Pack, which includes four bonus missions by Hurk and his bomb carrying monkeys. Gamers will also receive two additional multiplayer modes.

On Metacritic, Far Cry 3 has received critical acclaim and the PC version currently has an 89-out-of-100 score based on 26 reviews, the Xbox 360 version of the game has a 92-out-of-100 score based on 15 reviews and the PlayStation 3 version has a score of a 90-out-of-100 score based on 11 reviews.
