“Pokemon Go” Gen 2 is the next big update that Niantic has up its sleeve, packed with a couple of features that aims to revive interest for players who have walked out on the popular augmented reality game. As mentioned in a previous post, the game may have reached its peak last July courtesy of a report from Bloomberg. Rather than continue its spike, the report shows how the “Pokemon Go” players have gone on the decline since it first game out in July
There could have been several factors to that respect though a lot covers the lack of features and bugs that many have been complaining about. Niantic has been trying to address those flaws with patches though it has also covered the exploits some have resorted to from third party apps.
Will New Features do the trick?
Given that Niantic needs to come up with something special, the new features on “Pokemon Go” Gen 2 could be out as early as Sept. 5. This is the believed set date where the new version will come packed with improvements.
Two of the notable features include a Buddy system that should aid players in the game and a Trading system reminiscent of the card version. The two new features should be something checking out though it will be interesting if players who have walked will still be interested to play “Pokemon Go”.
The Buddy System should be an interesting take, something that will allow players to walk and earn candies for the distance that they have walked. That should be a big change considering movement is something that the current version leaves a lot to be desired.
The trading system, on the other hand, is a curious feature that needs no further elaboration. Both were spotted from codes on inactive scripts, hopefully, perks that can add new life to the popular augmented reality game from Niantic.
