Bethesda Softworks is not planning to launch "The Elder Scrolls 6" soon. However, fans are already looking forward to the features of the next open world fantasy game. The game developer is said to work on a couple of titles first before commencing development on "The Elder Scrolls 6."
There are rumors that "The Elder Scrolls 6" is inspired by the "Dark Souls." Bethesda Softworks is allegedly interested in the combat mechanics, puzzling challenges and quests that was introduced in the action RPG that may suit "The Elder Scrolls 6." The sequel was also rumored to showcase virtual reality (VR) support, although the company is said to be uninterested in such technology.
iTechPost reported that Bethesda is not considering the launch of "The Elder Scrolls 6" until at least 2019. The studio is prepared to focus on at least two projects before beginning work on the next title of the series. "The Elder Scrolls 6" will not be making an appearance at Gamescom 2016 was well, according to Pete Hines, VP of Bethesda.
Express cited Hines in saying that "The Elder Scrolls 6" is included in their slate of upcoming games, although they do not intend to release it anytime soon. Hines explained that the studio takes on a different approach compared to their competitors. There are only a few studios that efficiently allow players to explore massive worlds with high interactivity levels. In the meantime, the two next projects that they will be focusing on have no titles yet.
Bethesda Softworks is the publisher of hit titles like "Doom," "Wolfenstein," "Dishonored" and previous installments of "The Elder Scrolls," namely "Skyrim," "Morrowind" and "Oblivion." "The Elder Scrolls" has become widely popular through the years because of its engaging storyline and dynamic gameplay. Bethesda sold millions of copies of "The Elder Scrolls," particularly "Skyrim," which continues to be well-received by gamers.
The last installment, "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim," was launched in November 2011. Hines said that "The Elder Scrolls 6" will not be introduced at Gamescom 2017 and 2018 as well. However, he assured fans that they will continue providing elements that made their games great from the beginning.
