"Lucifer" Season 2 release date finally happens in two weeks time. By now, fans' interest must have been piqued by the enigmatic newcomer next season, Charlotte also known as Lucifer's mom, also known as an escapee from hell. Fortunately, a lot of "Lucifer" Season 2 spoilers are floating around which could give fans a rough idea on what to expect in the coming premiere.
'Lucifer Season' 2 Spoilers - Charlotte Gets The Spotlight
When "Lucifer" Season 2 air date arrives, fans can expect the newcomer Charlotte to get the spotlight. In fact, it now appears that the entire second season could somehow center around her and of course, the actress who portray her Tricia Helfer, who is already confirmed to join the "Lucifer" Season 2 cast.
In an interview with Showbiz Junkies, writer and executive producer Joe Henderson hints just how central Lucifer's mom could be to the "Lucifer" Season 2 plot. "Season two? Mom." explains Henderson. "Tricia Helfer. She is awesome. She just came in and owned the role in a way you rarely see but when you hire Tricia Helfer, you know is going to happen."
The EP then went on to explain that while the first season was about Lucifer dealing with father issues and God, the upcoming one goes maternal. With the arrival of "Lucifer" Season 2 release date, fans will see the mom from hell made flesh on earth. And apparently, Charlotte is going to affect everyone on the "Lucifer" cast including Chloe, Maze Amenadiel and Lucifer Morningstar of course.

Just how affected Lucifer would be is even hinted at by a recent trailer titled Even Lucifer Prays. Apparently, even Hell's number one needs a little divine intervention when dealing with Charlotte when "Lucifer" Season 2 release date arrives.
One can't help but wonder just what kind of monster Lucifer's mom could be in "Lucifer" Season 2. Obviously, the hellspawn is not one to be trifled with, but one can only hope that she will have at least some shred of maternal instinct in her when it comes to dealing with her wayward sons.
