When Minzy announced that she is officially leaving YG Entertainment and 2NE1, a lot were brokenhearted to realize that K-pop's most popular female group has finally disbanded. But YG Entertainment made sure to give fans another reason to believe in girl power by introducing Black Pink.
Black Pink debuted in early August. Although their instant popularity was somewhat expected, their success was so huge that YG Entertainment is taking advantage of their new found fame. As if Black Pink needed more hype, YG Entertainment is now making the group collaborate with K-pop's biggest boyband ever and YG's superstars, BIGBANG!
YG Entertainment is known to collaborate their artists. In fact, BIGBANG already collaborated with 2NE1 before with the song "Lollipop" and "Lollipop 2." This time though, it is unsure if BIGBANG and Black Pink will be making a song together, or they are just going to be promoting Moonshot. Moonshot is a cosmetic company owned by YG Entertainment.

The Moonshot X Black Pink Lip debut album included four tracks and one hidden track featuring BIGBANG. The Moonshot X Black Pink album will be released on September 2, and fans have been anticipating for that day to finally get their hands on the album.
YG stars are also known to be supporting each other as well. Before the launch of Black Pink, BIGBANG leader G-Dragon (Kwon Ji-yong) had been sharing on his Instagram account for his followers to go and support Black Pink.
