"Warcraft" may have been great as a game to many, but there are those who became utterly skeptical of the output that the movie gave. That being said, the director behind the flick may be looking at what could be a gold mine in the making.
Director Duncan Jones was rather adamant with his work on the "Warcraft" movie, instilling that it became what it did without any regrets. Though there are some critics that gave the movie an unpleasant review, Jones said that he is still up for another shot.
According to Collider, "Warcraft" only generated over $47 million in the United States, but did not do much bad all over the globe. Making up to $433.5 million, the said film was said to have cost quite a fortune to make, given that it has quite some big shoes to fill.
Having written and directed the film at the same time, Jones admits to not minding working on another film for the "Warcraft" franchise. The director said that for over three and a half years, he worked hard on the movie and will most likely do the same for the next film if there will be and do the same grueling work once more.
As per Blastr, Jones says that he is just as pleased with "Warcraft" as he is dismayed with the output. Since the film had to omit a few factors needed to make the film, it may be the reason as to why the flick did not meet the expectations that the world looked at.
The question of a director's cut also became a concern for the "Warcraft" film. Jones simply responded that the possibility of the cut is not at all high, and it solely lies in his head.
"Warcraft" still does not have word on a confirmed upcoming continuity yet. Jones is currently working on "Mute," taking on the identical universe as "Moon" which was led by "Ant-Man" star and "The Legend of Tarzan" actor Alexander Skarsgard.
Is the "Warcraft" film an entire flop? Or will justice befall the franchise after? Keep posted for more news and updates.
