Definitive Edition Won’t include ‘The Phantom Pain’ DLC Konami’s “Metal Gear Solid 5 Definitive Edition” is expected to be out by October though the long list may not contain one of the previously speculated missing chapters from “Phantom Pain”. A look at Konami’s official website will return the thing gamers can expect from “Metal Gear Solid 5 Definitive Edition”. That includes cosmetics, exclusive items, and a Mother Base staff. It was previously believed that the missing piece from “Phantom Pain” would be included, something revealed by former director Hideo Kojima.
Kojima bared that the “Phantom Pain” DLC was to include a certain ‘mission 51’, furthermore backed when some folks stumbled across a chapter 3 file via the game codes.
The landscape changed when Kojima left Konami and the game obviously taking a new direction. With the much-anticipated chapter gone, it remains to be seen of the bundled pack will still be essential though first-time gamers likely consider getting the lot.
It should be noted that the “Metal Gear Solid 5 Definitive Edition” bundle is not a remastered version. It includes two “Metal Gear Solid” 5 game titles and the DLC but will have no significant improvements as far as game graphics.
Will “Metal Gear Solid 5 Definitive Edition” deviate from “Metal Gear Survive”?
Back at Gamescom 2016, Konami received negative feedbacks for “Metal Gear Survive”. Players apparently took a swipe at the game as nothing more than a purely online game as can be seen in the game trailer.
Apparently “Metal Gear Survive” lacked the necessary plot and storyline that players normally look up to. Now, “Metal Gear Solid 5 Definitive Edition” will have to win the gamers back, though the absence of the missing chapter 3 could push potential player interest away. Konami is expected to unveil “Metal Gear Solid 5 Definitive Edition” on October 11, 2016, which will include “Metal Gear Solid 5 Ground Zeroes” and “Metal Gear Solid 5 The Phantom Pain”.
