Revert Pack for Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD Gets a Release Date

Last we heard, Activision had delayed its Revert Pack and other Pro Skater HD DLC "until the first week of December," according to the game's official Facebook page.

That's still true, but now we have an exact date when the DLC is set to arrive, and it's Dec. 4.

The Revert pack is scheduled to release on Steam, the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade, and will be available for $4.99.

The pack includes three levels from Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 - Airport, Los Angeles and Canada - as well as two new playable characters, James Hetfield and Robert Trujillo from Metallica. Given the addition of Metallica characters as playable characters, their track "All Nightmare Long" will also be included. They wanted to include Lars Ulrich, but, "something something, Napster joke here."

But the most anticipated part of the DLC is, without doubt, the revert move. Added when THPS3 debuted, the quick-spin allowed players to chain together ground combos to tricks pulled in half and quarter pipes, sending scores even higher than previously thought possible.

It was earlier mentioned that the revert move would be exclusive only to later levels (airport, LA, and Canada), but this rumor has thankfully been disproven. The revert move will also be added into the original game via a free title update today, so you'll still be able to beat all your old high scores without grabbing the DLC.

Released over the summer for XBLA, THPSHD managed to sell 120,000 units during its first week.

Tony has said he hopes to add more features, levels, and characters down the road. In an April interview with IGN, Hawk said, "I want to release all new levels and not just live in the past like this...new skaters, new tricks, things like that, and release them as digital content so they're affordable."
