The future of gaming has arrived, and it will be greeted by the lovely ladies of the "Dead or Alive" franchise. As the Playstation VR is set to debut very soon, Koei Tecmo has already laid down its plans to conquer a definite consumer base to the new feature to the console.
"Dead or Alive Xtreme 3" will be supporting the Playstation VR right when it gets launched in October 13 of this year. While the game is not all too child friendly as it shows some skin, it does not come up much as a surprise for its long time fans. A report by Gematsu reveals that the update will showcase new features including a "VR Paradise" option to the main menu. This will let a player enjoy some other new features, which include "Event Paradise," "Gravure Paradise" and "Photo Paradise."
VR Paradise showcases what male fans of the Dead or Alive franchise have always longed to do with a game. Here, a player would be able to gaze at the lovely women of "Dead or Alive Xtreme 3" at every distance and angle desirable and even touch them. There is also a new feature called Heart-Pounding Attention where if a player touches one of the girls during Photo Paradise, he gets a reaction.
The stunning graphics for which the game has always been known is present and very abundant in this sample gameplay video. Of course, the experience is complete with the enhanced laws of physics and a wide array of swimwear and lingerie which players can choose from. Now that the traditional Dead or Alive experience is soon to be available on Virtual Reality, things are about to be taken on an entirely different plane.
Polygon reports that Game developer Koei Tecmo first announced the VR supported feature for "Dead or Alive Xtreme 3" last September. While the VR feature might make the gaming experience much better, the publisher says that the main game might not make it to the Western parts of the world. This is because of a social media post that criticizes Western ideologies of female representation in computer games; therefore the VR mode might be exclusive in Asia.
