Until today, fans are still thinking who will receive Negan's (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) wrath in "The Walking Dead" Season 7. However, it looks like Michael Cudlitz, who plays the role of Abraham, hinted that his character might be the one to face Lucille.
Michael Cudlitz Talks About The Death Of Denise
In an interview with Pop Sugar, Michael Cudlitz opened up about the demise of Dr. Denise Cloyd (Merritt Wever). To recall, she died in "The Walking Dead" Season 6 the very same way Abraham should die in the comics. Hence, her death only means that the 51-year-old's character will remain in the show for a longer time.
"Now we get to see what a world with Negan and Abraham both in it will be like. That's something we don't see in the graphic novels," Michael Cudlitz hinted. "Knowing that his potential death had come and gone, it was a moment to go, 'Oh cool, they really aren't going to stick with what the graphic novel does.'" It looks like he accidentally spilled that Negan and Abraham would be facing each other in "The Walking Dead" Season 7.
Robert Kirkman Regrets Killing Abraham In Comics?
In one of the fan-made theories, it is believed that "The Walking Dead" Season 7 might reveal the death of either Abraham or Glenn (Steven Yeun), as per Cinema Blend. Michael Cudlitz went on to explain that Robert Kirkman was only correcting his mistakes as he was said to be regretting to kill Abraham in the comics' version.
Michael Cudlitz believed that transferring his death to Denise was like an Easter Egg for "The Walking Dead" fans who are reading the comics. They might be anticipating that Abraham should die with a crossbow arrow in his eyes, but as the showrunners always said, they won't follow the show's graphic novels. "The Walking Dead" Season 7 will return on Oct. 23 on AMC.
