The August 2016 update of "Clash of Clans" is already available, featuring several tweaks, balancing and fixes. There will reportedly be balances for frequently abused troops, as well as a nerf for the healer that will change previous offensive tactics.
ClashofClans.com reported that the balancing patch will include various changes. The cannon damage will be increased for levels 11 to 14. The game developer is currently looking for a better defense answer to mass-attacks of mid-size units. They opined that the enhanced Cannon damage can provide a reliable solution. The "Clash of Clans" adjustment will make them more vulnerable and give defenders a chance not to be overwhelmed by regenerating troops.
The movement speed of miners has been reduced. According to the "Clash of Clans" makers, miners may be too quick, considering that they can burrow underground. The "Clash of Clans" adjustment will make them less overwhelming when attacking enemy villages. The new "Clash of Clans" update will allow attackers to deploy more troops before Eagle Artillery activates. Before, the artillery's quick activation tends to limit phase-based attacks more than necessary.
International Business Times wrote that the biggest adjustment in the "Clash of Clans" August 2016 update is the nerf to healers. The recent adjustment makes healers targetable by air traps, and they can be put in the range of mine hazards. As a result, troops will have to be deployed more strategically to ensure that healers are in the proper positions to maintain the assault.
With the new "Clash of Clans" update, the Queenwalk and mass-Bowler tactics will expectedly be used less frequently. The Queenwalk approach involves having the offensive player surround the Archer Queen with three or four healers to protect it. The new "Clash of Clans" update may require players to add an extra healer to maintain the attack, which will consume more of its population.
The "Clash of Clans" August 2016 patch is actually a small update. Supercell is reportedly busy working on its next major update, although it is expected to introduce changes gradually. The current changes are now available on iOS and Android for free.
