‘Pokemon GO’ Ban Latest News & Update: Cheats, Bots & Hacks Under Scanner; Niantic Goes Hard Cheaters

"Pokemon GO" players who were using cheats, hacks and bots to gain unfair advantage over those who chose stay in the good books of Niantic are now finding themselves on the receiving end. After warning cheats last week, Niantic Labs have now finally started banning players by sending them a "ban email."

Innumerable "Pokemon GO" players have been affected as the first wave of ban hit them hard with players finding their accounts taken down and the dreaded email in their inbox. The email contains astern message from the company addressing the trainer.

"Your account has been terminated. Use of any other third-party software or app, including but not limited to scripts/apps, applications used to falsify your location, emulators, modified or unofficial software, and/or accessing Pokemon GO clients or backends in an unauthorized manner is considered cheating," reads the email, reports The Bitbag.

"Pokemon GO" was launched with the objective of getting players out of their homes and chasing Pokemons outside. Establishing interpersonal interactions within the game was also a prime objective.

Niantic is now hell-bent in sticking to the "Pokemon GO" mantra on which it was launched. The company is all set to provide a fun, fair and legitimate gaming experience to everyone. It is fine-tuning its anti-cheat system and also continuously working to improve the quality of gameplay.

"Pokemon GO" players using calculators, Pokemon locators, GPS Spoofing and third-party apps are facing a ban for life. Niantic is specifically targeting players using bots that take control of player accounts, automating Pokemon capture, visiting PokeStops and leveling up.

"Pokemon GO" players are now finding themselves in a tricky situation as they are not sure which third-party apps can get them banned. Rumors suggest gamers using stat tracking and organization tools such as Poke Advisor may face ban too. Hence, it is advisable not to use external apps even for checking individual values or tracking Pokemon.

However, reports suggest that a lot of genuine "Pokemon GO" players have been caught in the crossfire and are now complaining. However, the "ban email" sent by Niantic contains a link to a form where players can appeal against the ban if they feel their accounts were incorrectly terminated.
