"Tekken 7: Fated Retribution" may have more in mind than just new featured abilities and tier updates. With the recent addition of a familiar face, fans' hopes are slowly starting to lift up.
In the past, one of the main concerns that "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution" players gave is the addition of "Street Fighter" mainstay Akuma. Not only is the character considerably over-powered, but was unnecessary for some to say the least.
Nina Williams was the next character announced by Bandai Namco, wherein many were pleased. The "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution" roster immediately got bigger when the "Tekken 6" returnee Bob was announced, alongside the rebooted Raven character known as Master Raven(a female Ninja that shared the same move set as Raven).
According to International Business Times, "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution" was rattled by the recent announcement of Lee Chaolan, another returning character, during the Gamescom 2016 event. A new trailer was announced for the said character, which intriguingly included his alternate version, Violet.
Coming from a roster which went around roughly 50 characters, fans are expecting more to come from "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution" especially after the vanilla version was not quite as appraised. As per Tech News Today, the roster is expected to have around 40 characters, but is still not confirmed by Bandai Namco themselves.
So far, a total of over 33 playable characters are confirmed for the roster of "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution." The returning characters include: Heihachi, Devil Jin, Kazuya, Feng, Bryan, Lili, Asuka, Jin, Jack7, Steve, Dragunov, Yoshimitsu, King, Bob, Nina, Lee, Hwoarang, Xiaoyu, Lars, Leo, Law, Paul and Alisa. The new additions to the "Tekken 7" and "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution" title are Kazumi, Shaheen, Claudio, Katarina, Lucky Chloe, Gigas, Josie, Master Raven and Akuma.
