Stan Lee Confirms Both Black Panther and Dr. Strange Movies, Who Are They?

Latino Review first brought the idea of a Black Panther movie to the attention of the masses over the summer. At the time, Marvel had not given any confirmation that this movie was a possibility or not. However, speaking with comcibookmovie.com, the Marvel comics godfather himself, Stan "the Man" Lee confirmed that not only is the Black Panther movie in the works, but so is a Doctor Strange movie.

When asked about possible candidates to join the Avengers in their next movie, Lee said, "Oh they are all being made into movies! I can tell you there will definitely be a Dr. Strange movie! They are working on Antman, which requires really small cameras! Black Panther is being developed, one of my favorites…the Inhumans…All the heroes will eventually be made into movies"

Earlier in the fall, it was rumored that the good doctor would have a role in the Thor sequel, "Thor: The Dark World," and that Marvel Studios was eyeing Viggo Mortensen for the role.

Prior to battling mystical forces as the Sorcerer Supreme, Dr. Strange one of the world's most skilled surgeons. After a car accident left Strange unable to continue his career, he wanders the Earth for a way to fix his hands. Almost financially depleted, he meets the Ancient One, who teaches him the mystical arts after Strange saves him from death at the hands of the Ancient One's pupil, Baron Mordo.

As for Black Panther, Marvel had been teasing at the possibility of a Black Panther movie since "Iron Man 2," where the Panther's home nation of Wakanda is featured on a map during the movie's closing scene.

According to Marvel, among his powers and abilities, Black Panther is, "a brilliant tactician, strategist, scientist, tracker and a master of all forms of unarmed combat whose unique hybrid fighting style incorporates acrobatics and aspects of animal mimicry." Black Panther isn't just a hero. When he takes off the mask, he's the king of Wakanda, which gives him "access to a vast collection of magical artifacts, advanced Wakandan technological and military hardware, as well as the support of his nation's wide array of scientists, warriors, and mystics. The Wakandan military has been described as one of the most powerful on Earth. His attire is the sacred vibranium costume of the Wakandan Panther Cult. He is a skilled hunter, tracker, strategist, politician, inventor, and scientist. He has a Ph.D in physics from Oxford. Considered one of the eight smartest people on the planet, he is a genius in physics and advanced technology, and is a brilliant inventor."

As for who would take on the role of the Panther, no major takers have been mentioned, though I'm sure there's a lot of interest from several actors. When pressed for more morsels of information, Lee admitted that he has "very little control" when it comes to the movies. "I don't see the script, occasionally I will have lunch with the director or a star, like the guy making Antman,I don't remember his name- I don't remember names, or Robert Downey Jr., for Ironman and we talk about the characters."
