Rookie Andrew Luck Passed for 320 yards and three touchdowns, and The Indianapolis Colts dominated the Jacksonville Jaguars 31-17 on NFL Network's "Thursday Night Football" to win their sixth game of the season.
Indianapolis running back Vick Ballard finished with 151 rushing yards on 24 carries with one touchdown for the Colts and Reggie Wayne added 105 receiving yards in the dominate victory.
The Colts defense sacked Jacksonville quarterback Blaine Gabbert twice on the Jaguars opening series forcing them to punt after the quick three-and-out. Indianapolis traveled 83 yards on seven plays, finishing the drive with a 19-yard touchdown reception by tight end Coby Fleener giving the Colts a 7-0 lead.
Gabbert completed 18 of 29 passes for 203 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. On the Jaguars' second possession, Gabbert was looking for Rashad Jennings on a designed screen pass, but Vontae Davis jumped the pass and took the ball 45-yards for touchdown to give the Colts a 14-0 lead.
The Jaguars managed two long drives in the second quarter, but failed to score a touchdown on either possession and instead settled for two field goals.
The Colts drove the ball down the field with 45 second remaining in the half and Adam Vinatieri kicked a 43-yard field goal with time expiring to make the game 17-6 going into halftime.
Jacksonville started the second half with a 13-play drive that ended in a Gabbert touchdown pass to Marcedes Lewis, who dragged both feet and secured the ball before going out of bounds.
The Colts came right back and scored a touchdown of their own when Luck lofted a medium pass to Donnie Avery with two blockers out front, Avery slipped the first would be tackler, cut left and then turn up the sideline for the score making it 24-13.
The Colts would score one more touchdown to start the fourth quarter when Ballard broke a run for 34 yards and took the ball right into the endzone.
The Jaguars drop to 1-7 on the season and split the season series with the Colts.
