"Halo 5" players, feel blessed and lucky. You've been getting free DLC for 10 months since the game's launch, and this week, you'll apparently be getting one more.
"Halo 5" developer 343 Industries has been teasing the new DLC, presumably called "Autumn," on their blog, and this week they're ready to show off some new features. They just revealed new concept art for a new free Arena map that may or may not be coming soon, as well as new weapons and game features. We can't presume to say whether the map will be part of the coming update, as it wasn't made clear in the blog post.
What 343 Industries did say is that they were hard at work testing the new map for official play in "Halo 5." Every little bit is being play-tested, and it seems as though players might be closer to experiencing it than they think.
What we can confirm about the new "Halo 5" DLC is that it will have new weapons, skins, attachments, etc. They haven't all been revealed yet, but what's known now are the Gunfighter Magnum, the Landgrave BR, and the Landgrave Magnum. 343 Industries is also teasing fans by hyping up a lot of new goodies they can find in the DLC, but don't exactly mention what they are just yet. Also included in the new "Halo 5" DLC is a file browser feature on the PC and the Xbox One.
More information on this "Halo 5" DLC will be revealed as the week goes on and we get closer to its release. If you're wondering why players are still getting extra content long after developers normally stop supporting it, it's because the game is still growing 10 months after its release. It might very well be the most successful game in the "Halo" franchise—and Microsoft is hoping to grow that even more by releasing a "Halo"-skinned Xbox One S this month.
