'Titanfall 2' Beta Release Details & Latest News: Fans Not Happy With Technical Test At All; Call It Unoriginal

The "Titanfall 2" beta version is currently live on PlayStation 4 and Xbox. However, several fans were not quite satisfied with the technical test. Some described "Titanfall 2" as unoriginal and appearing more like "Battlefield" and "Call of Duty," instead of the original title.

Respawn Entertainment intended to release the "Titanfall 2" beta technical test for a while and it seems that the upcoming game might need more work if it wants to attract original and new gamers. Those who tried the "Titanfall 2" beta complained that there were noticeable changes that they did not appreciate, such as the Titans looking weaker than ever. They also commented on the poorly designed maps, lack of consistency in the AI and lackluster gameplay, among others.

The Bitbag revealed that the original "Titanfall" was well-received by gamers because of how the AI seemed to blend well into the game itself. Players also liked how they acquired titans easily and most of the time.

With the new changes in "Titanfall 2," players needed to take down enemies first and wait for the titan to become available. The added difficulty in getting titans can even be more challenging for those who have not played the original version of the title. There were times when players could play several rounds without landing a single Titan, completely removing the concept behind "Titanfall 2."

The game developer is expected to take note of the comments and feedback in the "Titanfall 2" beta technical test, as well as make the necessary adjustments accordingly. "Titanfall 2" is set to release on Oct. 28, 2016, so Respawn Entertainment has a couple of months to introduce the tweaks to appease fans of the franchise.

Forbes noted that some fans stated that they were fine with "Titanfall 2" getting postponed if it means reworking the issues that they complained about. Although the first game was not a huge hit, it was solid and gained a following because of factors like pilot freerunning, map design, weapon feel and Titan fighting.

Those who were looking forward to "Titanfall 2" expected a single player campaign, maps, modes and content that were provided as post-launch content in the original. More updates and details on "Titanfall 2" are expected soon.
