"Sister Wives" season 8 has been plagued with different kinds of cancellations rumors and speculations. Amidst these rumors, there are justifications that point to the continuation of the show.
'Sister Wives' Season 8 Cancellation Rumors
As previously reported by Game & Guide, head of the family Kody Brown allegedly planned to add two more wives in "Sister Wives" season 8. However, TLC fears that viewers may see this as being too much. As if the situation is not controversial enough, the network feels that having too many wives may spur negative feedback from its audience.
If Kody Brown insists on having two more wives, then TLC may decide to stop the show. This is something that Kody doesn't want, Blasting News pointed out. The website detailed why Kody wouldn't want "Sister Wives" season 8 canceled. Sitting on top of the list is the financial reason.
Source Of Income
Kody Brown has come to depend on what he's making in "Sister Wives" to support his family and his luxurious lifestyle, the website said. Initially, it was reported that Kody was linked to online advertising before "Sister Wives" started in 2010. Since then, Kody has been vague on what he actually does for a living.
More so, there were also earlier reports from Radar Online suggesting Kody Brown in bankruptcy when he was still married with wife number one, Meri. The report said that the polygamous family owed more than $200,000 from car and house loans, and credit cards. If this was true then Kody Brown shouldn't cancel "Sister Wives" season 8.
It appears that being a star in "Sister Wives" season 8 is the only job Kody Brown has now. If "Sister Wives" season 8 gets aired, there are speculations that an uprising by the wives may become one of the main points of the show. Adding more wives may not something that the wives would want to go through again after Robyn.
