Potterheads and "Pokemon Go" hunters alike might just have some wishful thinking to do. A similar app with the Niantic game, called "Harry Potter Go," was conceptualized by a fan and was released by Stargaze Media. Instead of hunting down Pikachu, gamers could hunt beasts instead.
Perhaps instead of battling over the always sought after "Pokemon" gym, "Harry Potter Go" players combat over Hogwarts house. The motion graphics and design studio based in UK made a video to let fans get a glimpse of what "Harry Potter Go" could be, and what magic it could bring to other gamers. However, if we take into account the backbone of JK Rowling's story, some details could not fit like know Hermione's scepticism about hunting non-wizards.

Yes, "Pokemon Go" characters are cute, and their name sounds even more so. But how about looking for hippogriffs instead? Or acromantulas? Magical creatures, dragons and goblins are sure to be a hit with kids and even adults, too. But, is "Harry Potter Go" going to happen?
The petition was initiated by Ashtyn Hannon who is a Harry Potter advocate since she was eight years old. Ironically, the 23 year old Potterhead have never played "Pokemon Go" since it launched. She admitted that she might consider playing the search and capture game if there would be a "Harry Potter Go" version.
