With the release just around the corner, Nintendo has announced that its new console, the Wii U, is now available to play at select retailers.
At least 5,000 kiosks are now armed and loaded with the Wii U so gamers can get their greasy mitts on Nintendo's tablet style controllers. Retailers include Best Buy, GameStop, Walmart, Toys R' Us, and Target.
Nintendo has informed us that at least 5,000 Wii U kiosks are now available across the United States. You'll find these demo stations at participating retailers, which includes Target, Best Buy, GameStop, Walmart, and Toys R' Us.
Games available to sample vary by location. Among them are Nintendo Land, Rayman Legends, New Super Mario Bros. Wii U, SiNG PARTY, and ZombiU.
Nintendo will have two versions of the Wii U available in both Japan and the US. A basic edition in white, offering 8GB of storage, and comes with the gamepad, HDMI cable, and sensor bar, for $299.99. There will also be a premium edition in black, comes with everything the basic package does, as well as a stand for the gamepad and console, has 32GB of storage, and will come with a copy of Nintendo Land for $349.99.
