Assassin's Creed 3 News: Video Game Inspires Free Running Stunt Artist Fan Film (Watch Here)

Brilliantly coordinating his movements the assassin advanced through the wilderness. His movements going from calculated to a frenzied scramble. The unsympathetic and icy wind made every bump hurt his battered figure just a little bit more. But he continued on, contorting his body as he leaped into the air twisting to maintain his footing and grasp.

He sees his prey, a British Captain on horseback. The soldier’s legs are clamped powerfully at the horse’s sides nearly crushing the animal’s ribs. His hands grabbed tighter at the reins as he raced off fleeing his pursuer.

Suddenly the white-cloaked figure appears in front of him with a tomahawk in his hand. The weapon slices through the air and buries itself deeply into the Captain’s chest. The soldier falls to the ground lifeless.

Assassin's Creed III is an amazing game with incredibly graphics, a riveting story and a compelling narrative. The game officially released on Oct. 30 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The game releases for the PC on Nov. 20, while a Wii U version will be available at the consoles launch on Nov. 18.

Surprisingly the scene described above is not a scene from Ubisoft’s historical action-adventure game, Assassin’s Creed III. But it is from a new a video that pays homage to the series and it's newest protagonist Connor. The video was first reported by Game Informer

The YouTube video is by Devin Graham, a viral videographer and features the talented parkour runner Ronnie Shalvis, who has done similar Assassin’s Creed themed videos in the past. In an interview with Wired, Graham said about his first Assassin's Creed video, "I'm trying to mix two kinds of ideas together in the hopes it'll go viral."

It doesn't look like that is a problem, the AC3 themed video already has 1.4 million views and the original has recieved 11.5 million views on YouTube with 239,176 likes. For the most part Graham is one man film crew and only brings additional camerman when neccessary. He told Wired,"For the most part I'm a one-man crew. I do everything but the music. Depending on what I'm filming, if I need other camera guys I'll bring in other people."

Check out the video below and Shalvis’ Facebook and YouTube pages.
