Microsoft's "Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn," is a web series that consist of five episodes and leads up to the release of the highly anticipated video game Halo 4. The five web segments will then be collected, along with 15 minutes of additional footage and turned into a 90-minute feature film. The full-length movie will be released with the special edition of Halo 4.
"Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn's," cast includes Australian actor Tom Green as Tom Lasky. Daniel Cudmore, who played Colossus in the movie franchise "X-Men" will be donning the armor as Master Chief. British actress Anna Popplewell from the "Narnia," fantasy film franchise also has a role in the new series.
Here is the final episode's official plot synopsis from the official Halo Waypoint website:
"Covenant cruisers methodically burn away all traces of the planet as the Chief, Lasky, and the cadets careen through treacherous enemy territory via Warthog. When a foe emerges so powerful that even the Master Chief might not be able to defeat it, Lasky finally realizes the sacrifices required of a real leader."
Halo 4 is intended to be the first of a new trilogy of Halo series games, named the "Reclaimer Trilogy," and the first to be developed by 343 Industries. Master Chief will return as the main protagonist, and the AI Cortana returns as well. Halo 4 will release worldwide on Nov. 6 with the exclusion of Japan where the game will be released on Nov. 8.
The first official Halo 4 launch trailer was produced by "Fight Club" and "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo," director David Fincher and was directed by visual effects craftsman Tim Miller.
