Ubisoft's Splinter Cell: Blacklist is coming to Wii U too, rekindling rumors that were flying around during the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2012.
Reasons; Retailer GameSpot in Ireland has been spotted displaying boxes of the game, reports the Examiner.
Images show Blacklist advertised alongside various other titles that have already been confirmed by Wii U.
Ubisoft had shown interest in being the number one third-party publisher for Wii U. It is also developing the survival horror title ZombiU, exclusively for Wii U. Other Ubisoft titles like Assassin's Creed 3, Rayman Legends will all come to Wii u.
The game was confirmed only for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PCs, Examiner added.
Ubisoft declined to comment when asked by Eurogamer. Splinter Cell: Blacklist will only debut in the Spring of 2013.
The game overview is given in the official website as, "The United States has a military presence in two thirds of the countries around the world. A group of 12 have had enough and initiate a terror ultimatum called the Blacklist - a deadly countdown of escalating terrorist attacks on US interests. Sam Fisher is the leader of the newly formed Fourth Echelon unit: a clandestine unit that answers solely to the President of the United States. Sam and his team must hunt down these terrorists by any means necessary, and stop the Blacklist countdown before it reaches zero,"
Nintendo Wii U will debut Nov. 18.
