Apple has launched the beta 6 developer version to test it on iPhone, iPad and iPod touch devices. With the iOS 10 about to be released, Apple News and Music are set to get a revamped look along with numerous other features added to the platform.
The software update is expected to be ready by next month. The public release of beta 5 of the new iOS 10 and beta 6 developer version release may now allow a sneak peek into the new iOS beta version.
As per recent updates, the upcoming iOS 10 will come decked with new features and improvements. The package will include a redesigned News and Music app. Other features expected to be released are HomeKit's first Home app, new iMessage features in messages and a redesigned Lock and Home screens for widgets.
According to 9to5mac, it is rumored that Apple is planning a Sept. 7 event to debut its iPhone 7. Pre-orders would be on Sept. 9 and launch on Sept. 16. Generally, new iOS versions are rolled out before iPhone launch. Hence, iOS 10 can be expected to be launched publicly on Sept. 14.
The final iOS 10 is also expected to have a 3D touch clear-all notifications feature. Users will have the option to clear all notification at the click of this new button. Rich lockscreen notifications will enable users to use the 3D touch to reveal hidden menu actions.
The new iOS 10 will also come with an improved Siri. As per some reports, Apple will open Siri to third-party developers. Thus, it may have third-party apps for Apple's AI, writes iTech Post.
If one is already testing iOS 10 beta on an iPhone or iPad, he/she can find the OTA update in the Software Update section of the Settings app. A registered developer may start testing iOS 10 with beta 6 after installing the beta profile from Apple's developer page.
