In the return of "The Flash" Season 3, fans will be treated to a two-part episode set in Gorilla City and the appearance of Kid Flash. Not only that, Grant Gustin, who plays the role of Barry Allen, revealed little teasers of the TV series at the recent San Diego Comic-Con.
Barry Allen's New Memories
Grant Gustin revealed that there is something grand happening in "The Flash" Season 3 that only his character knows, as per Comic Book. "Barry's the only one who knows that the timeline is different and his memories are gradually being replaced by memories of graduating high school and college, his moments with his family," the 26-year-old star explained.
Those new memories are trying to change his recollections from the past that makes him understand that he is being selfish. The different timeline, too, will take its toll on Barry Allen himself as its effects will make him forget the superpowers he has. In fact, Grant Gustin teased that his role is about to experience a super "back to the future" instance in "The Flash" Season 3 that will go up to the point that his hand is starting to disappear in front of his eyes.
A Two-Part Episode & The Appearance Of Kid Flash
Meanwhile, The CW already confirmed the coming of "The Flash" Season 3 back in March and the show's showrunner Andrew Kreisberg disclosed that it will have a two-part episode filmed in Gorilla City. The 45-year-old TV writer also told Collider at the TCA summer press tour that Dr. Alchemy and Savitar are set to appear in "The Flash" Season 3 as the new villains.
Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale), too, will be seen sporting the Kid Flash costume in the premiere episode of "The Flash" Season 3, Den of Geek cited. However, if Wally is the real Kid Flash in "The Flash" Season 3, some question what will be his future as the new superhero. Hence, it looks like fans have to wait until Oct. 4 to watch the premiere episode of "The Flash" Season 3, titled "Flashpoint," on The CW.
