Microsoft's "Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn," is a new web series and will consist of five episodes leading up to the release of the Halo 4 video game. The five web segments will then be collected, along with 15 minutes of additional footage and turned into a 90-minute feature film. The full-length movie will be released with the special edition of Halo 4.
"Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn's," cast includes Australian actor Tom Green as Tom Lasky. Daniel Cudmore, who played Colossus in the movie franchise "X-Men" will be donning the armor as Master Chief. British actress Anna Popplewell from the "Narnia," fantasy film franchise also has a role in the new series.

"The unstoppable power and brutality of the Covenant, a collection of alien species united behind a crusade to eradicate every human planet, is unleashed on Corbulo Academy. With nearly everyone they knew lying dead at their feet, Lasky and the surviving members of Hastati Squad put their combat training to the test after being rescued by a mysterious protector, the armored pinnacle of the UNSC: Master Chief John-117."
Halo 4 is intended to be the first of a new trilogy of Halo series games, named the "Reclaimer Trilogy," and the first to be developed by 343 Industries. Master Chief will return as the main protagonist, and the AI Cortana returns as well. Halo 4 will release worldwide on Nov. 6 with the exclusion of Japan where the game will be released on Nov. 8.
The first official Halo 4 launch trailer was produced by "Fight Club" and "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo," director David Fincher and was directed by visual effects craftsman Tim Miller.
