‘Pokemon GO’ Latest News & Update: Niantic Takes Away Legendary Pokemons From Cheaters? Mew, MewTwo, Articuno, Moltres & Zapdos Spotted?

Millions of fans have celebrated when it was reported that a number of Legendary Pokemons were caught in Ohio. However, Niantic has confirmed that it is taking away the legendries from "Pokemon GO" players.

Niantic Takes Away Legendary Pokemons from 'Pokemon GO' players

Earlier reports have claimed that some Articuno Pokemons were caught by some "Pokemon GO" players in Ohio. This is despite that fact that Niantic has not officially released the legendary Pokemons yet.

The claims of Articuno sightings have sparked several reports about the "Pokemon GO" game. However, Niantic was quick to deny that the said Legendary Pokemon is now available for players to catch.

"We recently noticed that a few Legendary Pokemon got into a few accounts when they shouldn't have," a Niantic representative told IGN about the claims that "Pokemon GO" players have already caught Articuno. "To preserve the game's integrity and as a measure of fairness, we have rectified the situation and revoked the legendary Pokemon from the Trainers' accounts."

Sources have also claimed that the "Pokemon GO" game has been hacked to get the Articuno. Kotaku has claimed that cheaters could use an app to change the appearance of the Pokemons as a completely different creature.

Niantic had reportedly addressed the said glitch. The company has also warned that "Pokemon GO" players caught hacking or doing illegal activities will be banned permanently.

'Pokemon GO' developer officially releasing Legendary Pokemons next year

GamenGuide previously reported that Niantic will be officially releasing the legendary Pokemons in the next "Pokemon Go" update. Sources have stated that Legendary Pokemons like Mew, MewTwo, Articuno, Moltres and Zapdos will soon be available shortly after the players download the update. "Pokemon Go" players, however, will have to wait a little longer since the said update will either be released in December 2016 or in May 2017.
