Despite the first season and its success in primetime, it appears that "Agent Carter" Season 2 would be the finale of the epic journey of Carter. Rumors have also surged that ABC is not regretting its recent moves to cancel "Agent Carter" Season 3 and remained indignant as well.
Rumors have also surged that Netflix might be the saving grace for "Agent Carter" Season 2 but since there has not been any official announcements from Netflix, the fans and followers could only hope for the best. In a former post from Parent Herald, it was mentioned that Netflix might be having second thoughts to renew the series owing to some bad deals regarding "Agent Carter" Season 2. For Netflix, they prefer original series that is not linked with any other segments or creations such as the Marvel franchise.
The same post also added on to note that Netflix is already talking with Marvel for the other segments and there is no more room to have "Agent Carter" Season 3 on board. Given the fact that originality and franchises might clash at some point, Netflix and Marvel are not exempted from that reality as well.
Despite the cancellation for "Agent Carter" Season 3, Marvel TV chief Jeph Loeb rendered some positive things that fans could really hope for, particularly in creating a movie segment, reports TVLine. Moreover, even though Hayley Atwell is happy to reprise her role as Peggy if ever the movie would push through, it does not imply that producers would be easy to find.
With ABC letting go of the reigns and fully affirming the cancellation of "Agent Carter" Season 3, dismays are expected to arise. The renewal may not see the light of day and even though season 2 is the finale season for Hayley Atwell, fans and followers are still voicing out their hopes in the social media and hoping that the tides will turn in their favor.
