'Wentworth' Season 5 Air Date, Spoilers, News & Update: Joan To Replace Bea? Foxtel Makes A Hard Decision!

Many are surprised to see the major cliffhanger of "Wentworth" Season 4 finale when the role of Danielle Cormack as Bea Smith demised. However, supporters of the show are still hoping that they will see the 45-year-old actress in "Wentworth" Season 5, but there are claims that she will be replaced by Joan Ferguson (Pamela Rabe) as a Top Dog.

Bea's Death Already Confirmed?

The fans may not see Bea in "Wentworth" Season 5 as she was repeatedly stabbed to death with a screwdriver by Joan in the finale of Season 4. To recall, the role of Danielle Cormack lost a lot of blood because of the incident that might cause her death, as per Movie News Guide.

But, as Bea plays a very important role in the show, like Jon Snow from "Game of Thrones," many assume that she will be brought to life in "Wentworth" Season 5. On the contrary, some cast confirmed her death and that she is already gone for good. In fact, a photo from the casts of the show was seen emerging on Tumblr. They were holding a card that has Bea's snap and a message that read, "In Loving Memory."

Foxtel Made A Very Hard Decision For 'Wentworth' Season 5

Moreover, Game & Guide recently reported that Foxtel also made a very hazardous decision for killing a major character in "Wentworth" Season 4. Viewers of the show assume that people behind the Australian TV series will fake Bea's death and let her live in "Wentworth" Season 5.

Although "Wentworth" executive producer Jo Porter already attested that Bea is really gone, there are a lot of people hoping for her return. "It is always an incredibly difficult decision to say farewell to a much-loved and revered character like Bea Smith. This decision was particularly hard as it meant also saying goodbye to Danielle Cormack," he explained. "Wentworth" Season 5 is set to air in 2017.
