It is now known that the web-slinging hero would be up against two confirmed "Spider-Man: Homecoming" villains in the upcoming movie, along with a rumored third baddie. In addition, the actor who will join the "Spider-Man: Homecoming" cast to fill in the role of the film's necessary evil.
Michael Chernus Joins 'Spider-Man: Homecoming' Cast As Villain
Michael Chernus is the first confirmed actor to join the "Spider-Man: Homecoming" cast as a villain. He will play the role of The Tinkerer in the upcoming movie, reports Independent.
The Tinkerer's real name is Phineas Mason. Mason is a genius specially gifted in the invention of cool gadgets and suits. However, his skills are best suited as a support villain to more powerful villains like The Vulture.
'Spider-Man: Homecoming' Villain - The Vulture
It was already known that Spiderman would be battling The Vulture in the upcoming film. However, there is no confirmed actor among the "Spider-Man: Homecoming" cast who will be playing the villain.
For now, there are speculations that actor Michael Keaton would be playing The Vulture. But this possibility is not yet confirmed by the actor or Sony at the moment.
Rumored Additional "Spider-Man: Homecoming" Villain
But those two villains are not the only baddies Spider-Man could be up against in the coming film. A third possible villain is now being hinted at by rumors.
According to Gizmodo, the third "Spider-Man: Homecoming" villain could come in the form of Herman Schultz. Of course this is just speculation at the moment but if proven correct, Spider-Man could be up against Schultz, better known as The Shocker to Marvel fans.
