Bioware has released some new downloadable content for Mass Effect 3 and the role-playing-game/shooter is getting some new firepower via the Groundside Resistance pack.

The new weapons pack is available now for $1.99 on the PlayStation Network and Origin and 160 Microsoft Points on Xbox Live. The new pack will release in Europe on PlayStation 3 on Oct 17.

The Groundside Resistance pack adds seven weapons, including the following: Venom Shotgun, Executioner Pistol, Kishock Harpoon Gun, Striker Assault Rifle, N7 Typhoon Assault Rifle, N7 Piranha Shotgun and the Acolyte Pistol.

"Take the fight to the Reaper army with the latest addition to the single player experience," BioWare wrote on its official site. "Lock and load and bring down the Reaper threat!"

Bioware recently released the Retaliation multiplayer content and has announce the release date for the next single-player DLC content entitled Omega. The last single-player DLC released for the game was this summers Leviathan.

Leviathan was released in August and added important information to the lore of the Mass Effect universe. The DLC played similar to Mass Effect 2's Shadow Broker DLC.
