'No Man's Sky' News & Updates: PC Version Still Being Worked On, Targeted Friday Release

PC players waiting for their turn to take a stab at "No Man's Sky," the heavily-hyped procedurally-generated spacefaring game that's poised to be one of the year's biggest hits, will have to wait a little longer as developer Hello Games is still hard at work on finishing this version. (In fact, Murray admitted he and the rest of the team were running on "zero sleep" during their stream and AMA.)

"The reality is that we're still here working on it right now," said Hello Games co-founder Sean Murray in a Reddit AMA. The Playstation 3 and Playstation 4 versions of the game had already dropped yesterday. To be fair, the studio is shooting for a Friday launch for "No Man's Sky"; 2 pm Eastern, to be specific.

Murray revealed as much information about "No Man's Sky" for PC as he could after streaming the gameplay on Reddit. He also revealed that they hype for the game, which has the sprawling procedurally-generated endless galaxies and planets as its main selling point, drove him to anxiety, making him unable to sleep for more than three hours a night ever since the game was first announced a couple of years ago.

Some more information revealed about "No Man's Sky," as reported by Polygon, include what seems like a farther field of vision on the PC, and that the PC and Playstation versions would be hosted on different servers. Looks like there's no intermixing of players for this game.

We'll continue to provide you more updates on the PC version of "No Man's Sky" as soon as we get them, but for now, keep your eyes peeled for the Friday release date. It's definitely gonna be a game to watch, and it's going to take 2016 by storm.
