‘Pokemon Go’ Grimer Bug Latest News & Update: Glitch Too Powerful For 'Low Memory' Phones

“Pokemon Go” continues to grow but along that comes the issues tied up to the game. Niantic continues to address the issue but there is apparently one bug that seems to be common in most phones – the “Grimer” bug.

The Dreaded "Grimer"

For those who have already played the game, “Grimer” is one of those characters on “Pokemon Go” you can catch. The problem is that issues arise when players either catch or try to evolve the critter.

Reports claim that the “Grimer” bug may have something to do with the animation involved. The lack of RAM could be an issue, a problem that persists on phones with less than 2 GB of RAM.

Prior to this, the presumption was that the “Grimer” bug on “Pokemon Go” affects only certain phone models and the type of operating system they run on. Once the glitch strikes, the phone freezes and users need to move or walk to change the location for it to normalize.

2GB RAM is not enough

The claim that it may all be tied up to the phone used to play “Pokemon Go” has been ruled out. So the problem could indeed be tied up to the memory that phones have. Hence, folks who are playing the game with only 2 GB are likely to encounter problems each time they cross paths with “Grimer”.

The main solution right now is for gamers to restart their phones before they can resume playing “Pokemon Go”. It is an obvious inconvenience though Niantic is believed to be working on a fix as we speak.

The problem is that Niantic is engulfed in lots of problems and the “Grimer” bug is only one of them. Just the same, lots of “Pokemon Go” players are hoping that the bug is patched up soon with the number off hooked Pokemon hunters rising by the day.
