'Criminal Minds' Season 12 Air Date, Spoilers, News & Update: FBI To Face 5 Fugitives; Luke Alvez To Catch Mr. Scratch

It looks like the return of "Criminal Minds" Season 12 will be far more dangerous as 13 prisoners managed to escape the biggest prison break from the last season. However, executive producer Erica Messer revealed that some of the detainees will be sent back to their jails, but there will be these five fugitives who will remain free and hard to catch.

A Harmful Hide & Seek With 5 Fugitives

"There are still five out there when we come into the premiere. One of them is a guy Peter Lewis plays named Mr. Scratch," Erica Messer told Entertainment Weekly."He is our baddie for the year. We will stretch him out and tell his creepy tales," she added. She also hinted that the police and the fugitives will play a very dangerous hide and seek in "Criminal Minds" Season 12.

Christian Times reported that "Criminal Minds" Season 12 will begin after some time the prison break happened. As the escapees are still on the loose, the FBI will surely need the help of Special Agent Emily Prentiss. This might be the reason why Paget Brewster is set to be back in "Criminal Minds" Season 12.

The Dangerous Mr. Scratch

Meanwhile, it has been said that the dangerous Mr. Scratch is using a drug that has a "mind-altering" effect that will make his victim obey whatever he says. As he is now the main protagonist of "Criminal Minds" Season 12, the FBI will definitely have a hard time to catch him, Design & Trend cited.

Aside from Emily Prentiss, the agents will also have the help of Luke Alvez, played by Adam Rodriguez. The 41-year-old star will be a member of the FBI Fugitive Task Force Agent in "Criminal Minds" Season 12 to arrest the criminals. "Criminal Minds" Season 12 will be aired on Sept. 28 on CBS.
