Josh Duggar Sued Over Stealing Random Photo
A Los Angeles based DJ and photographer Matthew McCarthy filed a lawsuit last week against the "19 Kids & Counting" star Josh Duggar as earlier reported by Game & Guide. After six months of rehabilitation for his pornography and sexual addiction, Josh Duggar recently returned from Reformers Unanimous in Rockford, Illinois. After seemingly getting over the sexual scandals, another issue was thrown at him by a Los Angeles DJ.
According to McCarthy, his photo was used by Josh Duggar on his various social media accounts, ET Online reported. His photo was allegedly used by Josh on his Twitter, Ok Cupid and Ashley Madison accounts. The last one is a popular cheaters' hook-up website according to Daily Mail. Josh Duggar admitted to owning an Ashley Madison account last year after the scandal broke out.
Josh Duggar narrated that the McCarthy's photo was found after he entered the phrase "random guy" on Google. McCarthy said that Josh's actions resulted to harassing and humiliating messages with people calling him "DJ Duggar" and "Duggar's Boy Toy." This is particularly unsettling since he is a DJ. Gigs were canceled soon after because of the scandal.
McCarthy Asks For Monetary Compensation
The hurtful messaged did not only cause emotional anguish in Matthew McCarthy, but it also caused havoc to his career. Now, McCarthy is asking monetary compensation for the loss of income, job security and reputation from Josh Duggar.
Meanwhile, the family released a statement that Josh will continue professional counseling and will focus on rebuilding relationships with his family. However, Josh was notably missing when Jim Bob shared a few memories of his family on their website. Josh Duggar's scandal last year resulted in the cancellation of their reality series "19 Kids & Counting" in TLC.
