Gamers who are looking to play Minecraft with better graphics can do so with the availability of the Pocket Edition, complete with Oculus Rift support. The game is now available over at the Google Play Store.
With that in mind, Minecraft gamers can look forward to enhanced 3D building modes and adventures along with some expected improvements. Coming with the Minecraft Pocket Edition are updates such as temples, jungles, texture packs as well as Xbox live support for Minecraft Realms per Neurogadget.
Minecraft Realms allows players to build their own worlds where they can invite and play alongside friends. Aside from that, gamers can also explore other worlds in Realms created by other players.
Virtual Reality excitement
Aside from its availability for Android, the interesting part of Minecraft Pocket Edition is obviously geared on the Oculus Rift integration. Knowing what the VR headset brings, players are eager to find out what to expect in the new VR environment which should take game play to the next level.
But of course, the excitement can only be complete if gamers have an actual Oculus Rift in hand. Earlier last month, Oculus was able to address backlog orders. More so, buyers are no longer left in the dark since shipment has been promised within 2 to 4 business days, Yahoo reported.
The VR headset does not come cheap, retailing for $599. So while the Oculus Rift support is welcome, it also means shelling out additional cash to experience the curious VR world. Depending on how hardcore gamers are, this could be limited to a select few.
Made for PC version only
Another prerequisite is that the Oculus Rift support for the Minecraft Pocket Edition will only be for PCs running on the latest Microsoft OS. Hence, PC owners will need to make sure that their machines are running on the latest Windows 10.
