Sonic Adventure 2 and Nights Into Dreams Are Creating Errors On Xbox Live

Xbox Live users are having trouble downloading the recently released high-definition remakes of Sega's Nights Into Dreams and Sonic Adventure 2, according to a story that appeared on gaming website VentureBeat.

Gamer's cannot purchase the two games directly from the system on the Xbox Live Marketplace, according to the report. The game is not even showing up when searched for in the service's A-Z game listings. Sega tweeted about the issue and assured fans that Microsoft was addressing the issue.

"For those trying to download Nights or Sonic Adventure 2 on XBLA, we are aware of the problem," Sega producer Stephen Frost tweeted. "Microsoft is looking into the issue now."

Attempting to search for the game in either the A-Z listing or by using the Xbox Live Bing search leads to an Xbox Live Marketplace error message that simply states, "there's a problem with Xbox Live."

The games cost 800 Microsoft Points or $9.99 each and were released on Oct. 5.Gamers can still purchase the two games, but they have to do so on Microsoft's Xbox.com website. Gamers just have to sign into Xbox.com with their Gamertag, purchase the games and then download them remotely.

Nights Into Dreams first appeared in July 5, 1996 on the Sega Saturn, but has since appeared on other consoles Sonic Adventure 2 originally released for the Sega Dreamcast on June 19, 2001, but has also seen rereleases on other consoles. A $2.99 (240 MS points) Battle Mode DLC pack that adds maps and characters from the Gamecube version can improve Sonic Adventure 2.
