Among the highlightsin the recently-concluded San Diego ComicCon 2016 is the unveiling of the new look of the "Power Rangers" movie and the new cast as well. Director Dean Israelite will conduct the story to capture the essence of the original TV series back in the 90's.

It would be disappointing to see that the "Power Rangers" reboot didn't meet the standards of the solid fans who watched the show back in the day. Will the story continue from 1995 to today? Or will it present a new storyline that presides with today's generation?

'Power Rangers' - An Interview with the Cast

In an interview with Collider, the cast talked about the movie and the emotional angst teenagers face in a day to day basis as to fit in the crowd and find direction in their lives. The cast also talked about the fighting scenes and training they endured to make a cut in the "Power Rangers" movie.

The upcoming "Power Rangers" remake movie had some changes. The major revisions will start with the costumes as it will not feature the colorful spandex suit and cheesy fight scenes that the franchise is known for.

In fact, Dean Israelite stated that the "Power Rangers" movie will be a much-improved and reinvented version. Moreover, it will be the origin story of the five children from the Mighty Morphin "Power Rangers" film, who turned superheroes.

The new "Power Rangers" movie cast said in an interview with MTV that the movie will be a coming of an aged in the present time and continue the values and life lessons the original TV series had, which means it would still be fun and entertaining for the kids of today.

'Power Rangers' Cast & Release Date

The cast of the new "Power Rangers" movie will be Darce Montgomery (Red Ranger), RJ Cyler (Blue Ranger), Ludi Lin (Black Ranger), Naomi Scott (Pick Ranger), and Becky G (Yellow Ranger).
