"Preacher" executive producer and co-creator Sam Catlin detailed that Eugene Root aka Arseface (Ian Colletti), Odin Quincannon (Jackie Earle Haley) and Emily (Lucy Griffiths) are now all gone. However, it looks like they don't feel sorry at all for the loss of these characters as they promised "Preacher" Season 2 is set to reveal more great roles.
"In the end, we had to clear the deck, there are so many great characters from the comic to come," Sam Catlin said, as per Deadline. She also added that they first established Jesse's relationship with God in Season 1 and in "Preacher" Season 2, the protagonist's adventure continues with a new mission. In fact, he is about to face a new enemy that is believed to be the baddie of them all.
A New Dangerous Enemy
The new antagonist is already seen in "Preacher" Season 1 Episode 3, "The Possibilities," as a figure in white and the "Preacher" enthusiasts surely have an idea who he is. The comic readers can perfectly identify him as Herr Starr and fans are about to know more about him in "Preacher" Season 2. Jesse is about to face Herr Starr and an evil organization known as The Grail in "Preacher Season 2.
These two will try to use Jesse and Genesis for their own benefits that the initial will try to resist in "Preacher" Season 2, according to Screen Rant. Aside from Herr Star and The Grail, "Preacher" Season 2 would also have Jesse's grandmother along with her gangsters and an additional deadly character, Reaver Cleaver. "Preacher" Season 2 will be back in 2017 on AMC.
