'Pokemon Go' Cheats, Tips & Tricks: How To Find Pikachu, Snorlax, Magnemite & More

"Pokemon Go" players generally have the same objective of catching every Pokemon available. At present, there are 142 catalogued Pokemon, and trainers are particularly looking for a number of highly wanted creatures lake Pikachu, Snorlax and Magnemite, among others.

"Pokemon Go" is based on the original game series, which featured 151 monsters in a full Pokedex, which means that there are still nine creatures that Niantic Games are not introducing. There are no legendary Pokemon available in "Pokemon Go," which explains why Mew, Mewtwo, Moltres, Zapdos and Articuno are excluded from the list.

There are also four region-exclusive Pokemon in "Pokemon Go," namely Mr. Mime (Europe), Farfetch'd (Asia), Tauros (North America) and Kangaskhan (Australia). The region-based Pokemon may not be available in the wild in most areas, but "Pokemon Go" players can still hatch these at home.

Telegraph explained that the unique Pokemon Ditto has also been withheld from "Pokemon Go" for unknown reasons. In the past, Ditto was primarily used as a breeding partner, where players can pair it a Pokemon to hatch any type of Pokemon. Niantic Games most likely has breeding plans for Ditto as the game progresses. It may also be one way of hatching a Pikachu, Snorlax or Magnemite in "Pokemon Go" soon.

Eurogamer stated that "Pokemon Go" trainers generally have three goals, which include moving the trainer up through the levels, evolving and enhancing their creatures to attack and defend gyms and completing the Pokedex by acquiring new Pokemon. The three objectives are actually related because higher level trainers also give them better chances of finding rare Pokemon and accomplishing gym challenges.

Players can increase their chances of finding rare Pokemon like Pikachu, Snorlax and Magnemite by hatching eggs, going to the right locations and using other tools. Steel Pokemon like Magnemite and Voltorb are more conveniently found in specific areas like central Brighton.

Tools like PokeVision will make it easier to spot Pikachu and Snorlax. Common creatures can also be used to gain XP quickly, which will increase "Pokemon Go" players' chances of finding rare Pokemon. More updates and details on "Pokemon Go" are expected soon.
