According to Feral Interactive, the Game of the Year edition of Batman: Arkham City is coming to Mac.
As is the norm with Game of the Year editions, much of the previous DLC content will be released with the new edition, including the Harley Quinn's Revenge Pack, Catwoman pack, and Nightwing and Robin bundle packs.
The GOTY edition for consoles included new challenge maps, alternate outfits, playable outfits - and also includes a download code for the Batman: Year One animated movie. New gadgets such as the Cryptographic Sequencer V2 and Smoke Pellets were also included, as well as new functionality for existing gadgets, but their addition wasn't specifically mentioned in the press release regarding the Mac version.
"Arkham City is a vast, open world, gothic metropolis hiding a deep assortment of side missions, secrets and puzzles that Batman will need all of his skills and gadgets to discover and solve. Along the way, players will use Batman's signature Free Flow combat system to square off against countless thugs and a nightmarish rogue's gallery including The Joker, The Riddler, Two-Face, Harley Quinn, The Penguin and Mr. Freeze."
While Harley Quinn's Revenge was a little short for my liking, Arkham City was an excellent game overall, and any Mac owner should be proud to add it to their game library. Upon it's release, Batman: Arkham City received critical acclaim and was one of the best-reviewed game of 2011.
Pricing and system requirements aren't known as of yet, but the release is planned for November.
