Marvel’s “Luke Cage” is expected to debut on Sept. 30 though there is no inkling on what the upcoming Netflix series will cover. It is likely to be tied up to the same storyline that “Jessica Jones” carries though it may not solely about the criminal world.
First three episode titles revealed
The answer to that lies in the hands of Cheo Hodari Coker and apparently he has started to stir up some hype by tweeting some episode titles. The first three have been revealed with the first episode titled “Moment of Truth”, the second titled “Code of the Streets” and the third as “Who’s Gonna Take The Weight?”
Coker is not planning to stop there, promising to tweet out titles until the show debuts on Sept. 30.
The showrunner had already hinted that most of the episodes for “Luke Cage” season 1 would be named after a Gang Starr tune. The first three episode titles so far affirm that call.
Hence, it should no longer be surprising if the other episodes would do the same. For those unfamiliar with the hip-hop group, it may be a good time to look them up.
What is the connection?
While the titles are expected to create some noise for “Luke Cage”, the more important thing to ponder is what does it have to do with the series? Better yet, what is the connection to the main plot of the Marvel icon?
Right now that is a very tough question to answer with Coker the only one who knows why. Seeing that “Luke Cage” has been making appearances on “Jessica Jones”, will the latter be appearing on the series as well? Will the origins of “Luke Cage” be tackled?
The coming weeks should offer a better picture before the series finally comes out in about two months time.
