"Suicide Squad" seems to have a certain effect to its stars. Since surviving the filming process of the DC Extended Universe flick, most of the actors have appeared a little off. None have demostrated this more clearly than Jared Leto, who plays The Joker.
Jared Leto is known for being good at a lot of things, However, his adventures in Method acting usually get plenty of attention. There is no shortage of writeups that offer the details of what he did while filming "Suicide Squad". However, it sounds like the Academy Award winner hasn't let go of The Joker that easily.
Jared Leto Tells A Reporter How Suicide Squad's The Joker Would Do An Interview, And It's Not A Pretty Sight
Jared Leto recently did an interview for Rolling Stone, where he revealed how The Joker would do the interview. "If the Joker did this interview, he'd definitely castrate you and make you eat your own testicles," Leto allegedly said. He added that the character would do it "for fun" and and only if the reporter got on his good side.
Needless to say, DCEU's Joker has an unusual sense of humor. However, it also becomes evident that Jared Leto learned a lot of crazy things from his "Suicide Squad" character. At one point, he talks about "watching real violence" on Youtube and finding out that some crimes are not "commited with frenzy." Leto concluded by stating, "It's methodical and sometimes even hypnotic and deliberate."
OK then. Perhaps Viola Davis had the right idea by arming herself with pepper spray on the set of "Suicide Squad".
