'Stranger Things' Season 2 Air Date, Spoilers, News & Update: Five Unanswered Questions to Address in the Sophomore Season

It's been exactly two weeks since "Stranger Things" debuted on Netflix, and the show has received raving reviews from critics and viewers alike.

Fans are getting friends to watch the eight-episode freshman season of a show that is very worthy of a season 2. While Netflix hasn't officially announced if they are indeed creating a sophomore season for the show, the positive reviews about "Stranger Things" may indicate that it is definitely happening.

The first season of the Netflix show had left viewers with so many more questions that fans are hoping would get answered when "Stranger Things" season 2 arrives. Just what exactly does the show have to resolve if and when it gets a sophomore season? Here are a few mind-boggling questions to consider.

Where is 001 to 010? During "Stranger Things"' freshman season, an enigmatic character with the name of "Eleven" or "El" was introduced. The child had telekinetic powers which seemed to be inherent and enhanced during her stay at the mysterious Hawkins Laborator. But if she was the 11th child to be manipulated into using her powers, where are the other ten kids? Are they dead? Alive? Did they run away as well? We definitely need to know!

Speaking of the Hawkins Laboratory, viewers are also dying to know who is running it, aside from Dr. Martin Brenner (Matthew Modine). Is the CIA behind these weird experiments on children? Did they plan to use them as an attack on Russia? Why kids? There's so much more we need to delve into when it comes to this weird laboratory on "Stranger Things."

During the season finale of "Stranger Things," viewers saw Chief Hopper (David Harbour) step into a mysterious, black government-owned vehicle. Does this mean that he has ties to the CIA or any intelligence group? Why are they taking him? Whose side is he really on?

Viewers also got to see El battle the evil creature, only to get disintegrated and presumably dies. However, we also see Chief Hopper leave El's favorite waffles in the woods, either as a bait, or as an implication that she is alive and he is helping her keep her that way. How will "Stranger Things" season 2 explain El's existence now?

When "Stranger Things" season 2 arrives, viewers would also like to know what is the deal with Will, who's now coughing up slugs. Is he permanently linked to the dead monster? We don't really know what happened to him when he was kidnapped, so it's possible that he developed Stockholm Syndrome towards the monster. There are endless possibilities for this new Netflix hit, and according to the L.A. Times, creators Matt and Ross Duffer already have a few tricks up their sleeve in any case the streaming network gives them the go signal for "Stranger Things" season 2.
