English Trailer Pops Up for Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance (Watch it Here!)

I speak two languages. Bad english, and even worse spanish. So as much as I enjoyed the Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance trailer that debuted at the Tokyo game show late last month, it was a bit difficlt for myself, a non-Japanese speaker, to understand. But ultimately, it got it's point across. Thankfully, for the monolingual, there's now an English version up, so we can understand the finer plot points of, "cyborg slash, cyborg hack, cyborg kill." Check it out below!

If the voice sounds familiar, it's because Raiden's longtime English-speaking voice actor Quinton Flynn is again returning to reprise his role.

Rising sees Metal Gear's resident cyborg Raiden slice n' dice through metal as well as men. Set nine years after Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, Raiden has since gone to work for the private military and security company, Maverick Security Consulting Inc. It's during his work with Maverick that he'll be encountering these new and formidable foes.

Though there will be some stealth elements, what Rising's creative producer, Shigenobu Matsuyama describes as "hunting stealth," Metal Gear Rising is obviously all about the action. Armed with a high frequency blade that can cut through steel like a hot knife through butter, players will use a sophisticated cutting system to command Raiden to hack n' slash through hordes of enemies, and make french fries four different ways.

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is out for PS3 and XBox 360 (though not in Japan), February 21.
