The cast of "The Flash" on The CW were at San Diego Comic-Con to provide more details about the upcoming third season. The next plot will feature Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) three months after he saved his mother, Nora, from Reverse-Flash.
Going back in time will alter his life almost to the point where he never actually turned into The Flash, considering that his mother is still alive. The Flash's decision to go back also means that he has a happy life with both his parents, although none of the friends he made through time know each other.
Cinema Blend noted that until that point in "The Flash" Season, things will begin to change immediately, moving further away from the Flashpoint storyline. Gustin revealed that the events in "The Flash" Season 3 will be quite different.
Obviously, there will be no Superman, Batman or Wonder Woman in the first episode, although they wish they could have included any of these heroes.
Gustin continued that they did well in the first two seasons in creating some form of parallelism between the TV show and comics, while incorporating their own ideas for the characters.

Over time, Barry discovers that he made a huge mistake and now wishes to return to the normal timeline. Among the things that stayed the same are The Flash's super speed, as well as his feelings for Iris.
